Basic obedience is the heart of all our training programs. It is essential for your pup to learn basic obedience wither he will be a Companion dog, Gun dog or will run Hunt tests. The benefits of owning a well trained dog are immeasurable. Our Basic Obedience program will give you the option of including your dog in everyday activities and being confident that you have the control you need to be able to enjoy your dog. The basic program is designed for all breeds. Your dog will learn to heel, sit, stay, come, down and kennel. All dogs are well socialized with other dogs.

Basic Gun Dog Training will start with Basic Obedience Training. The pup will then be introduced to birds, guns, boats, and decoys. As well, we offer a variety of training grounds to give the pup exposure to different cover, terrain and water as they would see in hunting or in hunt test. They will go through Conditioned retriever training (force fetch) in order to ensure the delivery of every bird back to hand. Each pup will work on single marked retrieves on land and water. This training is the base for Advanced field Training and Hunt Test Training

Advanced Field Training is a continuation of Basic Gun Dog Training. The pup will begin doubles, be introduced to ‘walk ups’, diversions, honoring and begin drills for blind retrieves (T- Pattern).  The time frame for advanced field training is solely dependent on the dog.

Hunt Test Training is designed for those clients that wish to compete their dog in AKC or UKC Hunt Test. We start with a solid foundation of skills acquired in the Basic Gun Dog Training. We will then proceed to more advanced work as needed for each level of Hunt Test Competition.
